Kappa Delta Pi - So to Teach So to Serve So to Live

Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society in Education,is dedicated to scholarship and excellence in Education. The Kappa Eta Chapter was installed in 1964 at St. John's University-Queens campus. This organization provides seminars and conventions for students who wish to become teachers. As part of the St. John's campus, Kappa Delta Pi actively participates in on and off campus community service projects, various philanthropies and professional development activities. In order to be considered for membership, the student must have a minimum of 3.25 grade point average as well as complete a certain number of events each semester.

  1. Don't forget to come to the first Kappa Delta Pi meeting of the year is going be Monday, September 19th either at 1:50pm-3:15pm or 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Sullivan Cafe. Can't wait to see everyone there!

  2. Although you may be thinking, "I'm only a freshman, I have all the time in the world to join KDP," why wait?! By joining KDP as a freshman, you will reap all the benefits right from the beginning. Don't wait until it's too late.

    KDP will help you network with peers, professors, and profesionals in the education field. You will also be given opportunities to attend lectures that will help you grow as a future educator. Your time as a pre-service teacher has already begun - don't sit back and let these opportunities pass you by!
